Marsatac
Etienne de Crécy was by far the best act last night. However, the biggest positive surprise:
Felix da Housecat was boring and Art Brut just terrible :/
Took the train back from Marseille at 6.05am. Luckily woke up just before Aix.

Health Care
In Scotland:
During the first week the Uni provided us with the possibility to register with a local doctor. Filled in a paper and received a confirmation by mail. Didn't have to use the services once during three years as attendance was optional.
In France:
Bring a medical certificate if you're ill, even for one day. All absences must be explained. Where do I find a doctor? Do I have to pay for it? Do they speak English? Blah, easier just to go to class and spread the illness.
ps. the school cafeteria where ~500 people have lunch doesn't have soap in the lavatories..

How is it possible that a nun can fly
Mr. Lonely ★★★
An American indipendent film by Harmony Korine.
While watching I was constantly comparing the film to Werner Herzog's production without noticing one of the actors was Werner himself! Apparently he's a big fan of the director.
The story was poor to be honest but visually the film was magnificent. This is a screenshot of one of my favourite scenes:

Rognes Gig
My last.fm friend Fred (30 year old female, festival organiser by occupation) gave me, Joni and Markus a ride to Rognes(a small village 20km north from Aix) to see one of the best gigs of my life. The venue was part of an art gallery, wine cost 1€ and the bands were amazing. The supporting act was a debut by Professeur Sloggy. The closest comparison I can make is Manu Chao. As he sang in French, I obviously didn't understand most of the lyrics but I got the main words like "sadistic".
The main act was a joint effort of two bands: Narrow Terence and Mansfield Tya. Imagine young Tom Waits and Shannon Wright, accompanied by two violins, a keyboard, a guitar and a bass.
