What does Greek music bring to mind? Nana Mouskouri, Giorgos Alkaios (Opa!) and plate breaking probably. Despite not known as the hub of alternative music, I've recently come across a few respectable tunes. (I had to dig pretty deep to be honest!)

The following (Stelios Kazatzidis - Ena sidero anameno) is a scene from the Wire, the best written TV series ever. More of the traditional ethnic folk music category, of which 99% tends to be shit, but I love this one.
